Default Popcorn hour A-300 vs Dune HD Smart D1

I'm about to get myself a media player but i am in doubt between these two.

- The popcorn A-300

http://www.popcornhour.com/onlinesto...&mainItemId=45

- The Dune D1

http://dune-hd.com/hd_players/curren...-smart-d1.html

Can you help me out? What are the Pros and cons between these devices?

Thanks.

Hi,
I see no sense in comparing models because the dune is much higher.
Hardware upgrade. The other will become a doorstop.
Native HD audio.
Superior image in full hd.
Style and much more beautiful now.
Four USB ports.
E-Sata port.
Fantastic interface using the Yadis.
Without doubt you should choose Dune D1. I use and recommend.

A-300 is a newer model with newer faster chip, but only that . Both are good players, just choose one.

IMHO, if you are buying a media player for the 1st time then the A-300 is a better option than the Dune D1 as it has a newer and faster chipset.

Both of them are using Sigma chipset.

The A-300 has its own movie jukebox whereas the Dune is using 3rd party jukebox like Zappiti, yaDIS, Movienizer, etc. which is available FOC or paid version depending on which one you intend to use.

I don't own a A-300 and won't intend to get it as I am already using Popcorn C-200 and Dune H1.

Thanks for the input so far..

I'm more enthousiastic about the popcorn right now.

Responsiveness in the menu's is a big deal for me. Browsing through movie's, opening mediafiles..

Wich of these two players is more snappier?

I think that A-300 is snappier (faster) in the menu/movie wall but Dune machines are very good to read high bitrate mkv files without stuttering, even when the file is not following the 4.1 standard.

I would strongly recommend you dune hd. I owned popcorn c-200 and the interface was pretty slow, also Internet aac radio (was very important to me.) doesn't worked. Also sometimes popcorn just freezed . Dune hd can play just everything, fast ui and never crashed or freezed. Also has nice display. I also would recommend you realtek based player like acryan. Just don't buy popcorn.

Well I already bought a A-300 and i am very pleased with my popcorn hour.

Starting a huge mkv (no internal disk) takes about one or two sec's.
When i fast forward it takes only a one sec to skip to that time in the movie.

The interface is quite fast, good video and audio quality. The remote is somewhat strange (look and feel) and i had some crashes if i change the subs to fast in a huge mkv. Besides that, it's close to perfect.

Of course i don't have a have a Dune to compair it with but i'm happy with my popcorn.
