You need a colorimeter and/or a spectrophotometer as well as some software to display their readings. I used i1Pro spectrophotometer with ChromaPure software and i1Display 3 colorimeter with ChromaPure and ColerHCFR software. Luminance and tint are wrong especially with the green color.
Oh and the issue is with the Dune D1 not the TV.

I calibrated the Dune HD Smart and everything is fine. Maybe I just corrected the error but I don't see anything wrong on the Dune side.

Can you explain how did you see it? Do you compare 2 different sources? Or what exactly is wrong???

Compared to a BluRay player (the Panasonic BDT-310 but others too) the issue is evident. Green tint and luminance are way off. Using the colorHCFR patterns and the AVCHD patterns (as ISO images on the Dune) and measuring as stated above you see the issue quite clearly. It can be corrected by a specific calibration for the Dune.

WARNING! If unmatrix formula is wrong, it is NOT possible at all to correct it by using CMS or by calibration.
White point / gamut and unmatrix formula are 2 completly differents things.
Only big scalers like Lumagen Radiance can correct a bad unmatrix formula.

So, calibration CAN'T correct this issue.

Fine Christophe but nobody answer th the question :

How can we check if the HD709 unmatrix on the Dune player ?

How do you know it's wrong ?

If we can check, we can rollback to an old firmware with correct unmatrix.

It can be calibrated no issues. Saturation scale is now correct, tint is correct and luminance is also correct on all colours.

No way to check that without a meter ?

Fine, thank you for your answer.

I'll soon have a Xrite display 2 and test.

In fact, if I match 709HD standard after Calman calibration, I suppose I have nothing to worry about ?
