Hi everyone I'm using Dune he base 3.0 I wanted to update the latest 0159 beta firmware but I can't seem to open the firmware get file in dune, the icon becomes like a paper. Its not zip, I copied the file to USB but can't seem to open it.

Can anyone help pls

If dune sees firmware file "like paper" then player just does not recognize data, eg. it is unknown format for dune.

Fail may be corrupted so you just download a new copy of a firmware file.

Are you really sure, that you didn´t show for dune .zip file, because dune gives for .zip an icon "like a paper"

Yes absolutely sure I have updated my dune lots of times but its the first time that the player doesn't recognize its own firmware. Its not zipped

Did you put a .dff file on your usb stick ? If the extension is not .dff, the Dune does not recognize it as a firmware.

The firmware file should be "dune_firmware_hdbase3_111122_0159_beta.dff"

I have also download the non beta upgrade(the one that I have currently installed) and also not working.

Any Ideas ??

Its must be from you model-its important.

I don't get it..
My dune is base 3.0 dune(dune hd dou) so this firmware is for my dune.
I also tried with the non beta file didn't work.

I have exactly the same issue.
I cannot flash forward or back!The only way is through the internet , but it does not show up the latest 159 beta.Must have something to do with the fw 1315 that we installed.
I also tried the emergency recovery and i get an error A06 in the log file (the procedure is interrupted when the h1 tries to read the fw from the flash drive.
Hopefully this will be resolved when hdi will release a new fw and we can see it through the firmware internet update from the menu of the player.

Strange as it seems, my Base thinks its a Prime. I have to use Prime updates on my Base, otherwise it just ignores them as you describe. (When I look in the Info screen it says its a Prime... must have a prime motherboard in it)

Obviously, as you have done updates before, using the firmware matching your model, this is not your issue though. But check your info screen just in case!

Mine says it is a b1 (instead of h1).
What do we do now?flash with the b1 (or equivalent to our info) fw or just wait for hdi?
