NEW UPDATE 30-01-2013

Quote from newloran2

Adding new icon for emplexer
Ability to enable and disable caching (if you have trouble seeing the images simply disable the cache that everything should work).
It is now possible to add the icon emplexer in the main screen (with new icon and everything else ), just go into settings and enable the option).
Some minor bugs.

Again thank you very much tcviper, with your contribution and all who are using, reporting bugs and suggesting features, emplexer gets better.

Continue using and suggesting new features and pointing out bugs, all bugs are slowly being corrected and the features being analyzed and possibly implemented.

The link is the same as always https://github.com/newloran2/emplexe...r.zip?raw=true

Thanks for this - had a look at the website (beta plus Plex) and looks interesting. Trying to answer a simple point though - could this be a suitable replacement for something like DuneX with data stored on an internal drive? I m looking for a video wall etc., that has the ability to span multiple HDD's.

There's a popcorn hour flash client project also being worked on. I passed him the eversion code for dune back when I added it but don't know if he ever got around to making it run on both..

In theory you could probably just test it out yourself, I would expect the remote control primary nav buttons to work, the special keys wouldn't but that's a minor fix and the start playback command is missing but it would give you an idea about usability.

I've been using plex on my Samsung Blu ray player for the pass year, instead of my Dune base 3.0. I appreciate the hard work that's gone into Dune X but there hasn't been any updates for a long time.

emplexer is a welcome software for mac users.

The 3 main features what I like about plex:

* Automatically updates the library when changes to folders are detected.

* If you delete a file, plex will Automatically clean up

* Dose not populate your folders with unsightly data

Default Re: plugin to integrate Dune and plex beta

I too am a DuneX user so I thought I would give this a go.

Installed Plex and set it going on my movie library on my QNAP NAS. Took a day or so and works a treat on the iMac. Installed the emplexer zip file on my Dune using the Plex IP ( 127.0.0.1 ) and the default port. All installed okay. When choosing the Emplexer icon, I get the following message...." The area you are trying to access is taking too long to respond, try again. (0) ".

Any ideas? My QNAP is ARM not Intel so I don't have the Plex option for QNAP. I can't connect to the iMac from the Dune which could be the issue as the Plex server is on the iMac. I've tried SMB and NFS and both cause the Dune to hang.

Thanks in advance. If I can get this all working, it's goodbye to DuneX.

Col.

If I'm not mistaken, Plex has its own communication protocol. See if it works after disabling any firewalls between the Dune and Plex server.
