Default Where do all you guys or girls get the sourcecode?

I'm really surprised to witness the number of modified firmwares around here. Sure it's great that so many people are trying to help out fixing bugs. Feels like an opensource community. But it isn't, is it? So I was wondering, where do all you guys get the sourcecode? Is it available for anyone who likes to fiddle around with it?

No replies at all? Am I asking an indescent question or don't you guys/girls have any sourcecode and are you just combining parts of different firmwares to see what works best.
