i had problems updating my (original) 508. got the well known error 15. i wrote Kiss support and they got back to me with the usual answers. i wrote back that i've tried all those things and explained exatly how i've done it. they went back to me that they didnt had a sulotion then. i didnt think that was i good enought answer so i asked if they could burn a cd, test it and then send it to me by mail.
no problem they said and today i recived a cd with the 2.8.3 Fw and it works perfect.
I live in Denmark (where the Kiss companey are from) so im not promiseing that they will do this with everyone from around the world.
but i think my story shows that KISS really try to help out in any way they can. and i can only say thank you kiss

maybe they sent you draculas version with crc check disabled .

PS: I noticed that may cd-r's are sh*t. Just trying to copy a view VCDs back to harddisc and have many with crc errors!
