Confirmed OOS-fix?
Do we have 100% confirmation that OOS is fixed in the new firmware?
I'm a bit worried that Kiss might release a firmware with a nice new interface, a lot of fancy features, BUT without actually having fixed OOS!
You know, sort of "ok, we can't fix the bloody OOS, so let's try and keep the customers happy by adding new features instead. Perhaps they'll forget about OOS".
I mean, if OOS really is fixet, why hasn't it been released as a separate firmware weeks ago?
It just makes me suspicious.

Sorry I'm not familar with the "slang": OOS means what??
Is that the fact that it gets stuck now and then after some time of use?

O : Out
O : Of
S : Sync
Means the movie and sound are not syncronised. See people move there mouth and a little later you hear the word.

So all we have is Kiss' word that it's fixed? Sorry, but that doesn't really settle my nerves.
Hi-Jack, I really don't think it's such a good idea to test a new firmware on a player that doesn't experience bugs such as OOS! It makes the testing a bit useless, don't you think? Are you the only person within MPC testing the FW?

Yes i also believe the Beta FW should be installed on at least one player which certainly has the OOS problem.
I wouldn't believe that it is fixed if not someone from MPC confirmes that it is fixed.
Maybe Hi-Jack can give the test firmware to someone who can check this out.
I know MPC runs in problems if test FW is copied but i don't want to imagine what the reaction of people is if the new FW is released and there is still the OOS problem ...

As far as I remember, few weeks or months ago, Kiss confirmed they found a player where they could reproduce this OOS problem.
If now they said it's solved, should be solved. 8O
Anyway the best REAL TEST will come very soon maybe tomorrow 8O
Will see it soon....very soon.....
The judgement day is aproaching... :88:
Regards,
Fran

Hi.
my guess is if KiSS in the next firmware say that they have fixed the OOS, and you still have a problem then your player is defect and need to come in for repair
