I can say they never replied to our mails for a unit, and therefore we can not say if it's
good or not. What we can say is that Sigmatek is bad in support and replying mails
though...

When I had a look in to that player, I had a look on the following forum dedicated to the Sigmatek players:

I asked about it and they said that XviD playback produces large "pixel blocks", almost like blotches. That made m go for the dp-558 instead.

Where they talking about the PVR-800 or the PVR-820 which is a differend updated player...?

Nope... no news yet...
Germany should get them end of next week though and we hope we'll get a stock soon...
Still no news on that from Buffalo so we await anxious and patiently
