Default KML from CDROM

Hi all,
i was wondering is there any way to enable KISS 1500 to read KML pages from the CDROM and not thru a webserver.

Thanks

No of cause , only for 1st year after DP-450/500 release KiSS was listened for customers requests after that ...

Well, to be fair they did incorparated couple of features some customers incorporated in modified firmware (like NTP clock , FTP , etc) but thats because it was easy most of the job already done by moders.

After that ... nothing.

to be honest it shouldn't be so hard to develop
the player already know how to parse the KML.
so what s the problem instead getting it from the server get it from the Client(CDROM).

Is it?

For what purpose do you want this?
why don’t you simply place your kml on a http server?

I really cant find any reason why you want this ?
(but please tell me why)

ok (but still not verry usefull i gues?)

you could mount the /cdrom with the command

mount /dev/cdroms/cdrom0 /cdrom

and place the httpd (from stage2) as internal html server (on port 888 and you will got it working

so its not impossible but i dont have a 1500 so if there are some other developers out there?

which will cause using CDROM or web server to read KML.
NOT realy tricky.

is there anybody out there that can spill some light on that issue.
