"How to" HDD DP-1500
The HDD cable arrived a cople a days ago to my DP-1500 from MPC CLUB. As it is, my IBM Travelstar 60 GB IC25T060ATCS05-0 doesn't seem to work with my DP-1500. Mabe I have to buy a new HDD?
Do I have to format the disk with partition magic? Are there any files I must put to the HDD after formating the HDD, before I mount the HDD into my DP-1500? How should it be formated? Linux Ext2 and more?
Also wondering if I only put the cable into IDE and then it will work? Ofcourse I put the redmark cabel against pin1 and the other side the redmark to pin2... and put it as slave.
What brand and size of HDD 2.5 working with the DP-1500? Are there any list of 2.5 HDD working with the DP-1500??
I have tried many solution withe the Travelstar already. I have tried to format it with PartitionMagic Linux ext2 but when I put it into DP-1500 I can here it starting but the DP-1500 locks up and the display shows KISS DVD and nothing more is happening I have left the DP-1500 mabe one hour or more but nothing happens. When I remove the HDD DP-1500 is working again as normal.
The firmware I use: dp-1504-pal-285nkb1
