Default Not enough space to record

Hi

My DP558 works (moderately) OK - but if I have a fair number of recordings on the disk - it shows not enough space to record any more - even when the player says there should be space for another 20 odd hours. I've formatted the disk from within the Setup menu - but no joy - any help would be appreciated.

Also...I fed a line to my hifi - but the remote doesn't seem to control the volume to the hifi (tho' my old DP500 works OK) - though it does work to the TV (via SCART) - any ideas?

Cheers

The only thing you can do to solve disk problems is using Stage2 FW
(seacrh the forum for Stage2 and read a lot about it). You can also just
reformat the drive... (make a backup first but it takes veryyyy long)

DP-558 is different concerning Volume...
If it doesn't work, it doesn't work, nothing you can do about it...

hello Spuffmonkey

How much? Not only the space of Your drive is essential, the number of file is too!!!

>> it shows not enough space to record any more

it seems like something of that

After formatting You saved your old files to DP-558 again, or is the hard drive now free and blanc?

In my opinion only SCART with marking "SCART OUT" is regulated, the other one not...
