Default Damn Kenwood receiver...

Hi guys,

I just purchased a Kenwood KRF-V4070D receiver.
Not the most powerfull but ok...

It has 5*70watts.
I also bought a Heco surround set 5.1, also 70watts and 8ohm shielded.

I hooked everything up and it works but...
The volume goes from 0 to 100 and i start getting sound at around 55...
This can't be normal...

Anyone knows his way around these stupied machines?
Thx

Nice receiver.

But, as for my Harman Kardon AVR4550, it can adjust the speaker levels/size/distance from the listener. I read on the Kenwood site that this one also has something like "...Independent speaker level...". Check those level setting, it is somewhere in the settings (menu?) of the receiver. Or maybe it is set up for "big" speakers, with my AVR4550 that is a difference in sound level.

I checked your receiver, it is 8ohm. And the speakers as well, so that can't be it.

Good luck.
