Loaded the new firmware 1.1.6 (full update). Everything went ok. BUT: Now my Surround Decoder which is connected through the digital output of my KISS recorder doesn't recognise anymore Dolby Dogital not DTS, which worked fine with firmware 1.1.4 8O I read that they added volume control on digital output. May it be that they modify the bitstream on the digital output and the Surround decoder can't decode it anymore?? Same is with the recorded movies. With firmware 1.1.4 the sound was played in Dobly Digital 2-channel (not same as stereo!). Now they are played in stereo only.
My setting are - as far as I see - correct. The only thing I did in setup was to set audio output to "digital". Or did I forget semthing??

Does anyone has a similar problem?

I went back to 1.1.4 because of this problem. It looks like We'll have to wait for 1.1.7 for a fix.

I did the clean upgrade twice to 1.1.6 (after flashing back to 1.1.4 and going back to 1.1.6 again). the problem is sustainable.

I hope they get a fix for this ASAP.

have the same issue no more dolby digital output wit 5.1.

i've erased my CDRW with the 1.1.4 firmware, and I can't find it anymore on kiss website 8O

I have found this from another Thread.

Go to:

http://www.linksysdata.com/betafiles/

User: linksys
Pass: beta7

Go to Kiss\old firmwares\

and you'll find the older versions there.

From now on, I'll keep all older FW versions on my hard drive just in case we don't have access to this site...

Do you have some info about 1.1.7?
