Kiss MacLink Issues
I am running the latest version of Kiss MacLink
My player and computer connection is wired
Now, Kiss MacLink works %50 of the time
i'll select a folder in my desktop, drag it to the application, select video, launch it
now on the player side, i'll select my host, go to vidoeo's and my video will be there
Now i'll try it with another folder, but the player won't show them
For example, the player will show my Stargate SG-1 folders and videos fine
But it wont show my Stargate Atlantis folders or videos
It's quite weird
My folders are named like
Stargate SG-1 - 10X01
and the video inside will have the same name
From what i can tell, the videos are encoded the same, so i don't think it's a codec problem, the player should at least show the folder.
I've tried everything, renaming the files, moving the files, selecting my host on the player, rebooting, restarting, everything, but the player refuses to show the folders and videos, it has done this with a number of them
Is this just an issue with Kiss Maclink?
Any other alternatives for the Mac?
Or even Linux, i don't mind setting up a linux box if i need to

Hard to tell what the issue is...
Note that PC/Mac Link is not Live Folder capbale meaning the server has to
player has to be rebooted to load the new added content. If renaming files
and folders don't help, then it almost must be an issue with the software.
Alternatives.
Everything for Linux and ther where some Java applications as well.
Anyone remembers what they where called again?

Funny you saying that
My folder was named - Stargate Atlantis
i thought, maybe if i deleted the name, and tried again
So indeed i did, i deleted the name, and re-typed it, same name
shut down Kiss MacLink, rebooted it, added the folder
Booted up the player, and woo-laaa it now showed the folder
done this with the other folders it would not show, and it worked
Kind of a weird glitch, all i had to do was re-name it with the same name
even though previously, i had renamed the folders to something else, and it didn't work
Still, if anyone knows of any good Linux programs, i would appreciate if you can let me know, i plan on installing Ubuntu

Aren't Macs capable of running unix/linux software these days?
The ones most people use (I think):
kissd – http://www.popies.net/kissd/index.html
dp500serv – http://sourceforge.net/projects/dp500serv/ (outdated?) / http://members.home.nl/lhspiljard/ (arm build, improved source).
