Default Network streaming problem

When streaming NTSC files from my pc whether it be HD ts files or low res Xvid files, several times throughout the programme the tv screen will go blank for a fraction of a second and then continue as normal. These blank periods can be minutes apart or 2-3 times in the space of 10secs.

What i've noticed is that if i set the Tvix to PAL with autoswitch turned off, then the files play without fault (except the normal NTSC/PAL jerk due to frame rate differences), the fault only occurs when playing the NTSC files with the Tvix output set to NTSC.

These files however playing perfectly when placed on the TVix's internal hard drive no matter if the Tvix is set to NTSC or PAL, so the problem only occurs when streaming.

Anyone noticed the same?

Are you streaming with NFS or SMB method?
SMB can cause jerky playback.

NFS. The playback isn't jerky as in the video slows down, it's just that it plays fine then the screen will go blank, then plays fine again until it goes blank yet again.

I went back to firmware 1.8.5 too, but made no difference.

I'm currently in contact with DVICO regarding this problem but i thought i would post a sample of what happens. I used a camera to capture the event on video and here's a 10sec clip showing once instance.

Well DVICO have confirmed they can see the problem too. They cannot confirm if they can fix the problem or not

I have since found out that when using the SAMBA setting this stops the blanking problem when watching NTSC Xvid files, however SAMBA is too slow for ts files so i currently have no solution for streaming NTSC ts files.
