As far as I can tell it only works on the internal HD. What it does, I believe, is remember the last 10 places that you quit from a video. So if you exit 5 minutes into a program then you will have a bookmark for that point. If you watch the whole thing then no bookmark. I find it useful for watching a whole season as you know exactly where you where upto. Annoying when you get to the end though as the bookmark will either stay at the start of the last program (if you quit there previously), or the end of the previous program. It's not perfect, but it is useful. I've only tried this on avi (DivX and XVid mainly).

If you can think of a better method then tell Tvix support. They tend to listen to good ideas. Can't think of a better one for bookmarks, except perhaps to have a 2nd list of manual bookmarks. So perhaps if you select bookmarks inside playing a video it will manually add that to your user list of bookmarks. Then pressing bookmarks at the menu gets you the option of seeing auto bookmarks (current functionality) or your manual bookmarks. Anyone have a better idea? If not I may mail that one to Tvix.

Cheers

well, when I play back Raw DVD movies, it automatically remembers the last time I played the movie. I wish I could turn it off sometimes. If I recall correctly, it does this even through my NFS share of Raw DVD movies. As for the manual bookmark feature I haven't tried it, yet.

You took the words right out of my mouth!

I only have a network share (ReadyNAS NV), no local drive.

When I stop a movie (ISO), it resumes where it left off. I've only tried a couple times, playing around - and did not even know there was a bookmark function or button. Guess I'll have to play around some more tonight!
