There is no open source firmware.

Only open source KiSS released could not help at all to make new firmware.
It's finding little things in encrypted files, in HEX editing and so on...

In adding new little modules that start automatically and so on...
Ain't no such thing as easy.

What are you thinking off to do?

hello, to answer of your post,
it could be useful to display on the front panel the transer rate when uploading,
the mp3 name ,which scrolling during playing,the possibilities to change backgrpound whith taking bckgnd picture on a cdr...

With answer you give, there is so no many possibilities to dev.
so, et , dracula...developped module, and no the entire open source.
ok thats's more clear for me.

but it could be cool, that the method use by dracula and et will be explain.
because many thing can be adding to their firm, as the number of version, which is no implemented, for exemple.

No one has open source.
If you want to see what KiSS is offering, they have the GPL archive on their site.

All enhancements have been made using Hexeditors or compiling own code
or porting existing code to KiSS players.
